Sexual assault

LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar attempted to investigate an alleged report of sexual assault that took place on Jan. 1, 1979 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

The victim at the time had been a 9 year-old female, police said.

According to police, after investigation it was found that the victim did not want to cooperate.

Theft, debit card withdrawals

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are currently investigating a theft which took place between May 26 and May 30.

The victims, an unnamed 19-year-old male and an unnamed 47-year-old female, reported debit card withdrawals valued at $150, police said.

PFA violation

MILL HALL — On June 22, at approximately 4:11 p.m., state police at Lamar received a report from a 31 year-old female, of Lock Haven, about a PFA violation that occurred on June 18.

After an investigation, it was determined that a violation had not occurred and no charges were filed; it was discovered through video both party members just happened to be at the same store, police said.

Harassment, physical contact

WOOLRICH — State police at Lamar received a report of a family argument taking place at Cemetery Street in Pine Creek Township on June 25 at approximately 5:23 p.m.

The argument escalated into a physical altercation between two known suspects, a 76-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, both of Woolrich, police said.

Both parties were arrested for harassment through District Judge Keith Kiblers’ office, police said.

Found property

LOGANTON — On June 27, an AC unit went missing from a Flagstaff E-Pro camper at the westbound rest area on Interstate 80, according to state police at Lamar.

A 2019 Flagstaff, Flagstaff Super Lite, Classic Tent, Mac Tent, Micro LIte and Shamrock V-Li were involved in the incident; the AC unit is valued at $1199.99, police said.

Theft of vehicle parts

LAMAR — State police at Lamar are asking for anyone with information about a catalytic converter that was cut off of a 1998 Chevrolet K1500 at Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township between June 27 and June 28.

The catalytic converter is valued at $350; anyone with information is encouraged to call 570-726-6000, police said.

Terroristic threats

LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar responded to Woodward Avenue in Pine Creek Township for a report of terroristic threats on June 28 between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

The arrestee is Alessandro Dincher, 22, of Jersey Shore, and the victims are a 22 year-old male and a 22 year-old female, both of Lock Haven, police said.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

Harassment, physical contact

LOGANTON — On July 12, 2023 at approximately 7:10 p.m., an unnamed 65-year-old female, of Milton, was driving on Interstate 80 near mile marker 187 East Bound in Greene Township when her grandson, 15, of Milton, was having a medical issue, according to state police at Lamar.

The grandson began to throw stuff and ended up hitting the victim with a bottle, police said.

Criminal mischief under $1000

LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar are currently investigating a report of possible bullet holes in a barn window on Queens Run Road in Gallagher Township.

The incident took place between July 30 and Aug. 13, police said.

The victim was an unnamed 50-year-old male of Lock Haven; the window pane is valued at $25, police said.

Crime by deception

LOGANTON — On Aug. 13 at around 3:24 p.m., state police at Lamar responded to a home in Loganton Borough for a report of monetary theft.

The victim was a 78-year-old female from Loganton, and an investigation revealed that she sent $18,000 to an unknown person located in Plano, Texas, police said.

The investigation is currently ongoing, police said.

Theft

BEECH CREEK — Between the dates of Aug. 1 and Aug. 20, a propane tank and burner torch were stolen from a home on Oak lane in Beech Creek, said state police at Lamar.

The victim was a 62-year-old male from Beech Creek; the stolen burner torch was valued at $25 and the propane tank was valued at $50, police said.

PFA violation

MILLHEIM — State police at Lamar are investigating a potential PFA violation that took place on Aug. 21 at around 4:29 a.m.

The victim was a 44-year-old female from Jersey Shore; this investigation is currently ongoing, police said.

Residential burglary, no force

CASTANEA — State police at Lamar are currently investigating a burglary incident that occurred between Aug. 7 and Aug. 13 on East Keller Street in Castanea Township.

The victim was a 56-year-old female of Milesburg; an unknown number of items were stolen, police said.

Harassment, communication

MILL HALL — State police at Lamar are investigating an alleged harassment that occurred along Renovo Road in Colebrook Township.

The victim was a 74-year-old male, of Blanchard, and the incident allegedly took place on Aug. 7 at 11:18 a.m., police said.

PFA violation

JERSEY SHORE — On Aug. 21, state police at Lamar received a report of a PFA violation which occurred on Aug. 8 at around 4:59 p.m. on state Route 880 in Limestone Township.

According to police, the victim was a 44-year-old female of Jersey Shore.

Two-vehicle crash, no injuries

CASTANEA — State police at Lamar responded to a two-vehicle crash taking place on Aug. 8 at around 3:19 p.m. on state Route 220 near mile marker 112.6 in Castanea Township.

Dillan Reeder, 32, of Beech Creek, was traveling south in the right lane in a 2020 Mack Truck when traffic in front of him began to slow and he applied his brakes, police said.

Erik Carswell, 48, of Glen Burnie, Md., was driving behind Reeder in a 2022 Volvo VNL64T, and struck the rear end of Reeder’s vehicle, police said.

Reeder’s vehicle was able to be driven from the scene while Carswell’s vehicle sustained moderate front end damage — with coolant leaking out — and required a tow, police said.

No injuries were reported by either party, police said.

Stolen chainsaw

LOCKPORT — An orange Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw with a 20 inch bar was stolen from a residence along Cider Press Road in Woodward Township within the past two weeks, according to Woodward Township Police.

Stolen gas

LOGANTON — Between Aug. 13 and Aug. 17, about 18 gallons of gasoline were stolen from outside of a residence in the area of Rockey Road in Greene Township, according to state police at Lamar.

Terroristic threats

LOCKPORT — Matthew Bartek, 25, of Madera, was arrested for making terroristic threats toward a 25-year-old woman, of Lock Haven, along Coudersport Pike in Woodward Township on Aug. 13, according to state police at Lamar.

Crash with injuries

MILL HALL — Destiny Garcia, 20, of Renovo, sustained injuries due to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Eagle Valley Road and North Water Street in Bald Eagle Township on Aug. 15, according to state police at Lamar.

Garcia was traveling north on Water Street and proceeded through a flashing red light without proper clearance in a 2011 Dodge Avenger, police said.

Thomas Glassmire, 53, of Coudersport, was traveling north on Eagle Valley Road in a 2021 Kenworth T680 and crashed into Garcia’s vehicle, police said. Both of the vehicles sustained disabling damage.

Garcia was wearing a seatbelt and received injuries of unknown severity, police said; she was transported via Goodwill Hose Ambulance to UPMC Lock Haven for treatment.

Mill Hall Fire Company, Martin Motors and Bressler’s Towing assisted on the scene.
